Ranch Dip and Salad Dressing

Ranch dip and salad dressing in my area of the planet is almost universal. The locals use it as a wing dip and favorite dressing for every salad type need. The Chef Gosselin version of this classic is just that… A local favorite and classic remake of the most popular Ranch Dressing.

1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

1 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup sour cream

1/3 cup unsweetened coconut milk

1 tsp salt

1 tsp ground black pepper

1 tsp minced fresh garlic

2 tbsp chopped Italian parsley

1 tsp dry Dill weed

3 tbsp minced green onions

1 tsp white wine vinegar

Part 1 Making a Buttermilk

Add the Apple Cider Vinegar to the Coconut milk and stir. Let sit for 10 to 15 min until the milk curdles. You will have made your own Buttermilk

Part 2 The Dressing

Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and whisk until well blended. Place in refrigerator and allow the dressing to macerate for an hour or two.

Taste and re-season…. that is with salt and pepper.

If you like this thinner add some milk and stir.

This is a nice Ranch Dressing recipe…. very versatile and tasty. I love a good dip for chips and wings…..with the holiday coming you will find a need for a good salad  platter dip.
