Chef Gosselin’s French Toast

It is a great moment to just create a tasty bite with a buttery base and a little sweet. French toast is on my mind and it was texted to me by my gal who wanted some for her morning eat. Let’s make a quick and easy French toast.

8 slices hearty bread

4 eggs

1 cup milk

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/4 tsp salt

Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl
Preheat a skillet over medium low heat.
Add 1 tbsp butter to the pan and allow to melt.
Dip both sides of the bread into the egg mixture. Allow  excess to drip back into mixing bowl but still completely coat the bread
Place bread in the skillet
Brown and sizzle bread on both sides
Continue until all slices of bread are cooked
Add a little butter on the French toast for flavor and serve with a nice country maple syrup.
